Jumar named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development™ 2024
Jumar is proud to announce that we have been named among the top 100 in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development™.
New for this year, the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development List recognises companies making employee development a key part of company culture. These workplaces offer employees the chance to better themselves, to learn new skills, and to progress within the organisation. Jumar understands that development is not one-size fits all, and we actively support every single employee to undertake their own tailored journey of growth. Because of this, our people are fuelled by a sense of purpose, feel valued, and give their best to the organisation.
Our inclusion on this exclusive list officially acknowledges our commitment to development, innovation and employee growth. At Jumar, we firmly believe that investing in our people is key to our success. Over the past 18 months we have introduced numerous new initiatives to solidify our commitment to employee development including creating a comprehensive career framework which is accessible to all our team, so everyone knows what will be required for them to reach the next level. We support team members who express interest in other areas of the business by arranging shadowing or secondment opportunities, and we have a generous training budget and a variety of technical and softer skills courses on offer that can be tailored to the needs of the employee and fit in with their progression plan.
To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development List, Great Place to Work® reviewed our culture, benefits, approach to leadership and development, alongside anonymous responses from our employees. They then used these data insights to benchmark our company's employee value proposition against the culture our employees actual experience. Only the businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
From our anonymous employee feedback, we can see that overall our team highly commends our dedication to ongoing learning, individual growth, and the culture of knowledge exchange across our business. In our latest survey, 82% of the team felt that they had been offered training and other ways to develop professionally, and 93% of the team agreed that they are given the best resources and support to do well.
