Jumar recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™
Jumar is thrilled to announce its recognition as one of the 2024 UK's Best Workplaces in Tech™. The list was launched recently by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising Jumar among the list of top 100 organisations in the Small & Medium Size category. This marks the second consecutive year that Jumar has been included, underscoring its commitment to fostering a flexible and supportive working environment where employees can thrive.
Jumar’s employees anonymously reported that its inclusive culture and its commitment to staff wellbeing makes the company a great place to work, with 89% of the employees surveyed agreeing with the statement ‘I can be myself here’.
Jumar offers a flexible working environment tailored to the needs of its people, along with Wellbeing and Social Ambassadors who organise activities and events aimed at supporting staff wellness and positive mental health. In addition, every team member is given two social value days annually to support a community project or organisation of their choice. 94% of the employees surveyed ‘felt good about the ways in which we contribute to the community’.
Jumar continues to prioritise mental health by ensuring access to fully trained Mental Health First Aiders, while the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Group drives the development of its sustainability strategies. The company has been carbon neutral since July 2023 and remains committed to meeting ESG metrics and targets.
This is Jumar's fourth accolade in 2024, following its recognition on the Best Workplaces for Development™ 2024, Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ 2024, and Best Workplaces for Women™ 2024 lists (all in the Medium category).
Great Place To Work® UK administered its research-backed Trust Index© employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based tech employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Analysis of the sector employee survey responses found:
- 93% of employees at the UK’s Best Workplaces for Tech say “I’m proud to tell others I work here” compared to a UK average for sector of 69%
- 87% of employees at the UK’s Best Workplaces for Tech say “I want to work here for a long time” compared to a UK average for sector of 67%
Commenting on the achievement, John Antunes, Group CEO at Jumar and Concept said: “Being recognised again as one of the UK's Best Workplaces in Tech™ is a testament to the dedication of our people. We remain committed to building a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute, while also making a positive impact on the environment and our communities.”
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK said: “Now in its seventh year, the Best Workplaces in Tech list celebrates companies adept at developing dynamic, collaborative cultures that serve as a catalyst for innovation and personal growth for all. In one of the country’s fastest-growing industries, it’s fantastic to see these Tech organisations placing their people strategy at the top of the agenda and implementing employee experience programmes that create a positive culture for all. A huge congratulations to Jumar for making this prestigious list.”
