Meet our Head of Business Analysis

In an interview with Sarah Barrett, Sarah shares her experience at Jumar during the first six months in her role.
 

1. Could you start by telling us what your role is please? 

I am Head of Business Analysis at Jumar.
 

2. What did you do before you joined Jumar? 

I was a Product Owner for a small tech company. My client was based Las Vegas and my development team were based in Poland. I wore many hats at that company due to it being so small which I found I really enjoyed!
 

3. Why did you join Jumar? 

I loved the culture, values and ethos of the company. I came from a small company and have found that I like working with companies where I can make a positive impact, influence change and know everyone I work with.
 

4. How are you enjoying your time so far? 

I’m loving it! There is so much opportunity and scope for improvement. I am working with a huge team of passionate professionals, who are all dedicated to doing a great job for Jumar and who support one another unconditionally.
 

5. What have you been involved in since joining the business? 

There have been so many things! We’ve recently had our wellbeing week at the office which consisted of a bake off, charity bike rides, yoga, meditation and much more. I’m also happy to be involved with Jumar Pride. There have been recruitment reviews, sales and internal projects too.
 

6. What are you hoping to achieve in the next 6 months? 

In the next 6 months, I plan to grow the team and seek new opportunities for my BA’s. I am also arranging Agile training for the team and CF1 (Financial Service) certifications for team members. I want to provide a career path for the capability but one that also demonstrates “side” moves as well as up e.g. BA to Scrum Master, senior BA to Architect etc making our Jumar resources more flexible and broadening skill sets.
